How to Use VT Cosmetics Reedle Shot [Review & Comparison]

It might sound daunting at first but using skincare with microneedles isn’t that scary at all. However, if you’re wary of trying skincare with microneedles then the Reedle Shot 100 is the perfect variant for you to try. I really appreciate that VT Cosmetics has varying intensities of their Reedle Shot, making it more beginner-friendly for those who are interested to try microneedles in their skincare routine.

How to use

Applying the VT Cosmetics Reedle Shot is like applying any other serum but if you have sensitive skin, it’s best to steer clear of sensitive areas like the eye area first. Patch test it out on other areas first like. Also, if you sweat a lot and wear eyeglasses like I do, it might be best to steer clear of the eye area altogether. Personally, I had no problems with using the 100 variant near my eye area. Use the Reedle Shot as part of your night time routine but each variant has a different frequency (check the paragraphs below).

You’re supposed to use this right after washing your face. Don’t use it if you’re using a cosmetic device or if you’ve just had a cosmetic procedure. I like using a soothing cream right after using the Reedle Shot. Of course, using sunscreen is a must but it would be best to avoid direct exposure to the sun.

VT Cosmetics Reedle Shot 100

Suitable for daily use, the VT Cosmetics Reedle Shot 100 is definitely the most gentle variant out of the three that I have tried. It has the least strength in terms of the tingling sensation. I barely felt the tingling sensation which makes it the best variant to try for beginners. After 4 hours, the areas where I applied the 100 variant didn’t feel tingly when I lightly massage it but if I press harder, I will feel a slight prick on my face.

VT Cosmetics Reedle Shot 300

Suitable to be used once every 3 days, I found that the VT Cosmetics Reedle Shot 300 has a stronger tingling sensation compared to the 100 variant but it’s not painful or anything. After 4 hours, the areas where I applied the 100 variant didn’t feel tingly when I lightly massage it but if I apply more pressure, I will feel some tingling on my face.

VT Cosmetics Reedle Shot 700

The most intense variant of the Reedle Shot that I’ve tried, the VT Cosmetics Reedle Shot 700 should be used once a week. I can feel the prickling sensation on every stroke of massaging the Reedle Shot onto my skin. I don’t find it painful since my skin is not that sensitive. I actually enjoyed the sensation on my nose because I always feel that my nose is a lot rougher. My nose is prone to acne and clogging since I sweat a lot which is why I’ll use the VT Cosmetics Reedle Shot 700 on my nose weekly. After 6 hours, the VT Cosmetics Reedle Shot 700 also had no more tingling sensation when I lightly massaged my skin. However, if I press harder I will feel a tingling sensation on certain areas.

VT Cosmetics Reedle Shot Review

Overall, my skin where there were rough patches definitely felt smoother. My nose has rougher skin compared to the rest of my skin and it was in this area where I felt that the VT Cosmetics Reedle Shot was the most effective. My skin didn’t get irritated. It will only feel tingly if you massage or move the skin. After 4 hours, the areas where I applied the 100 and 300 variant no longer had a tingling sensation even if I moved or massaged my skin. After 6 hours, the VT Cosmetics Reedle Shot 700 also had no more tingling sensation when I moved my skin.

Note

I applied all the VT Cosmetics Reedle Shot variants on different parts of my skin because you’re not supposed to use all of them at the same time. You’re only supposed to use them one variant at a time even if the VT Cosmetics Reedle Shot 100 is suitable for daily use. I’ll probably use the VT Cosmetics Reedle Shot 100 on my face regularly but for the stronger variants, I will probably use them on clog pores and acne.
