Calmia Perfect Outdoor Sun Block Honest Review

At this point, I've wired myself to religiously apply sunscreen onto my face every day without fail. Despite not leaving the house, I still put on sunscreen since I sometimes step out and hang around our garden. I always tell myself that even just a small exposure of UV rays can wreak havoc onto my skin and make my skincare routine go to waste.

I saw a pretty affordable Korean sunscreen online and decided to get one since my Some By Mi Truecica Suncream was running out. During the Althea Turns 5 promo, one of the items I bought was the Calmia Perfect Outdoor Sun Block which claims to be a sunscreen perfect for, well, outdoors.

Ingredients
Green Tea Extract: Rich in amino acids to ensure that the skin stays moisturized. 
Centella Asiatica Extract: Soothes irritations and strengthens the skin.
Licorice Root Extract: Calms redness and repairs the protective barrier.
Polygonum Cuspidatum Root Extract
Rosemary Extract
Scutellaria Baicalensis Root Extract

Review
Lightweight and moisturizing, the Calmia Perfect Outdoor Sun Block feels nice to use. I was expecting a whitish appearance but it had a flesh-like color which explains why the ingredients contain iron oxides which are used as coloring agents in some cosmetics. At first, I thought that it didn't leave a white cast on my skin, instead, it looks as if my skin was toned up ever so slightly. However, when I applied the sunscreen on my face, the white cast was pretty obvious

To test its claim on being water-resistant, I applied some sunscreen onto my hands and let it dry for around 15 minutes before running my hand through the water. True to its claim, there was still sunscreen on my hands and it still felt slightly moisturized. Upon smelling my hands, I can still smell traces of the sunscreen.

However, this isn't a perfect sunscreen for me, it was too late when I found out that this sunscreen contained Phenoxyethanol, Methylparaben, and Propylparaben. I'm not a fan of these ingredients and I should have done more research before getting this product but I couldn't resist the notion of how affordable it was.
