Back in my teens, I used to loathe wearing sunscreen on my face because it made my face look all too white plus it clogged my oily, acne-ridden skin. Nowadays, there are numerous sunscreens that promise the absence of a white cast as well as having no pore-clogging shenanigans involved. However, Some By Mi's Truecica Mineral 100 Suncream is the first sunscreen that I have ever tried that promises effective banishment of pimples. That's right, not only does this sunscreen not clog the pores, but it also keeps pimples away.

I've heard all about how good Some By Mi is but it's my first time trying a product of theirs. Unsurprisingly, it did not disappoint.

Review

True to its promises, the Some By Mi Truecica Mineral 100 Suncream is light on the skin, easy to apply and is quickly absorbed by it. If I didn’t know any better, I would think that I'm just wearing another lightweight cream and not sunscreen because its features are far from the usual sunscreen. The term “suncream” is definitely a good choice of words to describe this wonder of a sunscreen.

When I first started using this sunscreen, I had a small pimple and this sunscreen didn't aggravate it, it was soon gone after 2 days. It’s definitely the perfect daily sunscreen for my oily, acne-prone skin.

Sensitive skin

Would I Get It Again?

I would love to repurchase the Some By Mi Truecica Mineral 100 Suncream again but truthfully, it's a bit above my usual budget. If it ever goes on sale, I would immediately jump in at the chance to grab one (or two). As for buying it at its regular price, I would have to consider how long it would last. Especially since my go-to sunscreen, the Petal Velvet Sunaway, is currently priced at only P370.
