YEAH YEAH CHINESE CUISINE REVIEW
Dear Dreamers
If you love dimsum as much as I do then you’ll love Yeah Yeah Chinese Cuisine. They serve delicious, uncommon dimsum that you can hardly find here in Metro Manila. Of course, they serve other authentic Chinese dishes too.
BBQ PORK P320
You typically expect charsiu to be tender and slightly sweet, their BBQ pork was definitely tender and slightly sweet.
HOT PRAWN SALAD P580
Crunchy, fresh and perfectly cooked, you can’t go wrong with their hot prawn salad especially if you love seafood.
CRYSTAL HAKAW P138
FRIED PIGEON P480
A lot of fried pigeon served at other restaurants are over-fried so much that it becomes dry, Yeah Yeah’s fried pigeon was the opposite of this. Meaty, tender and crispy, their fried pigeon is was definitely delicious.
SWEET AND SOUR PORK P330
Their sweet and sour pork was tender but I prefer it to be more sour. It was a little on the sweet side which is okay because the pinoy taste favours the sweet taste.
SQUID WITH SALT AND PEPPER P330
The squid with salt and pepper was delicious, I prefer it to be spicier but it is comparable to the squid with salt and pepper served at high-end Chinese restaurants.
WALNUT BUN P130
My favorite dish from Yeah Yeah is their walnut bun. It’s absolutely delicious, I like the bite that the walnut gives. It’s a different kind of dimsum that I have yet to see served around Metro Manila.
PIGGY SALTED EGG YOLK PAO P130
My baby really loved their piggy salted egg yolk pao. It was funny watching her play with its ears, I think she found the piggy pao adorable too.
BEEF RIBS WITH BLACK PEPPER AND PINEAPPLE P580
You usually can’t go wrong with beef ribs at Chinese restaurants. Their beef ribs with black pepper and pineapple was tender and flavourful as expected.
FRESH RIPE MANGO SHAKE P110 & MANGO SAGO P110
LECHON MACAU P350
We took a lot of photos before digging in so we were surprised that the lechon macau was still tender yet crunchy despite it getting cold.
MUSHROOM BUN P130
At first, I really thought that their mushroom bun was a mushroom. However, a closer look showed that it was actually a bun. It looked adorable, it was topped with cacao powder which was what made it look like a mushroom. Inside, it had Shitaki mushroom. It would be better if it had truffle oil but overall, it was delicious.
