ALTHEA PETAL VELVET POWDER UNBOXING, REVIEW AND MAKEUP LOOK
Finally, Althea, the bringer of all things K-Beauty has launched its own exclusive product! In this post, I will be sharing with you my unboxing and makeup video as well as my thoughts and review of Althea’s Petal Velvet Powder. I will also share with you how the powder will look without using foundation as a base and using only concealer and powder.
When you think of Althea, you think of flowers because Althea is the national flower of South Korea. Representing Althea’s ideals as a brand is their powder. Designed to give girls a soft and velvety natural look, the petal velvet powder does not disappoint. Best of all, it’s priced just right for a product that is made with purely natural ingredients.
PRICE AND WEIGHT
At 3 grams a pop, you would think that P210 is a bit pricey. But of course, as I mentioned, it is made with purely natural ingredients and it is considered affordable by K-Beauty standards.
How fast it will run out will depend on how you use the powder. Will you use it as just a setter for your makeup, as a way to retouch your makeup, or simply as something to wear solely on your face? The last option, will probably be the fastest way to empty the powder as it is not designed to give you heavy coverage. However, you can use it on top of concealer which is what I did and you can check it out below.
Before anything else, let me just say that the powder smells pleasant, like flowers! The powder is lightweight so you probably won’t feel a thing if you use it without foundation. However, I definitely do not recommend using the powder solely and without applying anything else if you have dry skin as it might make you skin feel even drier.

PERFORMANCE
Performance-wise, it definitely did its job. Having oily skin, I disliked having a shiny face ever since I was in high school so having velvety and soft skin is what I pined for. If you look closely, you can tell that it minimized my pores.
VIDEO
Yeah, I think I nailed this look haha. Check out my short video where I did the unboxing and applied the makeup.
